Chiang received her BA (Hons) from the Music Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1987 and her MA (Mus) from the Hong Kong Baptist University in 1999.
She is now retired from her post as the Music Director of Diocesan Girls’ School but has previously served as a music teacher at the Diocesan Girls’ Junior School and Diocesan Girls’ School. Other posts include being a Music Lecturer at the Grantham College of Education and the Sir Robert Black College of Education.
During her years of teaching, she has led her school choirs to win numerous 1st prizes, including being acclaimed as the “Most Outstanding Primary School Choir Of The Year” many times in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival. Her choirs also participated in overseas competitions, capturing 1st place in the Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod in 2008, and was awarded the Gold Medal in both the 7th and 8th World Choir Games held respectively in 2012 and 2014. In 2016, she led a choir to perform at the Canterbury Cathedral and the Southwark Cathedral in England.
Chiang is the founding conductor of her alma mater choir, the Diocesan Graduate Singers and has led the choir since its inception in 2000. Under her baton, the choir was awarded the Gold Diploma at the 2025 Taipei International Choral Competition.
She has been conducting the Kowloon Hop Yat Church’s adult choir and children’s choir for over 30 years and has also been the Chairperson of the Music Subcommittee of the Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Association for more than a decade.
